From the North
From Glasgow and Prestwick etc. take the A77 towards Ayr. Continue to Girvan and take the A714 to Newton Stewart. From Edinburgh and the east proceed to Dumfries and thence the A77 to Stranraer. Turn left onto A751 (signs for Dumfries/A75). Turn left onto A75. Take the 2nd right toward Market Slap/A716. Turn left onto Market Slap/A716. Continue to follow A716. Slight left onto Main Street. Take the 2nd left onto Church Road
From the South
Either take the A1, A66, A69 route or the M6 to Gretna. At Gretna turn on to the A75 towards Stranraer via Dumfries. Left onto B7084 (signs for Stranraer/Portpatrick/A77/Drummore/A716).
Turn left onto A716. Slight left onto Main Street. Take the 2nd left onto Church Road

Travel by air
Glasgow (Prestwick) is reasonably close and its recent expansion has opened up very cheap flights to South-West Scotland both from London and over 20 European routes.

Travel by ferry
Northern Ireland is less than 2 hours away by ferry! From Belfast or Larne the carriers are:- Stena Line or P & O Ferries.
From the Continent travel by ferry to Newcastle on Tyne from - IJmuiden, Kristiansand or Gothenburg, Stavanger, Haugesund.
